Mayor’s visit to Caldmore ‘One Stop’ Shop

During September, Caldmore ‘One Stop’ Shop received a visit from Councillor Garry Perry along with local MP’s, Councillor Andrews, Councillor Arif and Councillor Azam. The event hosted a welcome lunch for the Mayor, with other traders’ Walsall Council and local employers who have supported the shop since operation in April 2010.

The Mayor was over whelmed by the progressions and developments of the ‘One Stop’ Shop facilities, not just within Caldmore, Palfrey and Pleck but at the other 3 sites at Bloxwich, Darlaston and Walsall. This project alone has seen over 80 people into sustainable employment.

“It has been great to see a turn around and added improvement for the Caldmore area, the facility for the community here is excellent for the development and regeneration of Caldmore, Palfrey and Pleck. It’s clear to see that the people that run the projects are enthusiastic about supporting members of the public back into work and increase their skills” commented Councillor Garry Perry.
